LED (light emitting diode) technology has come a long way in the last 15 years. Today you could effectively light your entire home with LED. Today LED light can serve as the general light for a room, the task light for a kitchen counter, the directional art light highlighting art and architectural features, the accent light nestled in a cove, on a beam or under a cabinet illuminating ceilings, floors or stone walls with a dramatic grazing light. It can also be used to backlight onyx stone or frosted glass.
